Is 15% so hard to give????
Tonight sucked at work! It started off with my second table leaving me absolutely no tip whatsoever. When they were seated I went over and told them I would be right with them because my other table was just about to get their food. They said ok, then I had to do 4 laps to the kitchen to get this table all the stuff they wanted. So it took me a few minutes to get back to my other table but then after that, I took care of them and got them everything they requested and made sure their drinks stayed full and all that stuff and they paid with a credit card and left $0.00 for a tip. The one table that had me doing laps for them left me $3.00 on a $38.50 bill. HELLO!!!!!! I even saved them $6.00 on their dinner because the wife ordered it wrong and I was trying to be helpful.
Then for the rest of the night I averaged less than 10% on most of the tables. I don't get it. I give great service, I'm friendly and sincere and still scheisse for tips. Maybe they don't know how to figure 15%. It's pretty freakin' easy to do. Figure out 10% by dropping the last number of your bill. For example 10% of $35.00 is $3.50, now divide that number in half. $1.75! Now add those two numbers together $5.25 not hard!!!!!! AND if you have a good server it is nice to leave 20% sometimes. I work for $2.13 an hour PLUS tips!!!!! Tonight I walked out of work with $38 and I had $460 in sales. 15% would have been. Let's see if we can do this together 46. plus 23 equals $69, I made $38 someone's math SUCKS!!!!!!!!
